No rest for the weak and the weary~!
As you can probably guess by my name, I end up drawing lightning fairly often myself. My own strategy is just drawing scribles and then smudging it a lot with PhotoEditor. That's actually my strategy for all types of CG artwork, and I can't stand it. Now I have a new strategy, and I thank you muchly for it. Next time I do lightning stuff I'll be sure to remember this tutorial.

this is a great tutorial but the html seems to be goofing up a little. The text is black on a black background, it seems. Excellent though, simple idea executed well. :) I never would have thought of that...
